Who we are

The The Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Health.(RRBN) was established by Decree No. 42 of 1987, now Cap R1 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

The Board is charged with the following responsibilities:


  1. Determining the standard of knowledge and skill to be possessed by persons seeking to become members of the profession and to improve those standards from time to time as circumstances may permit.
  2. Maintain a register of members of the profession and the publication from time to time of the listof such persons.
  3. Conducting examinations in the profession and issue certificates or diplomas to successful candidates as appropriate.
  4. Ensuring quality service delivery by every Radiography centre in Nigeria.Ensuring discipline and good professional, ethical and moral standards of all Radiographers.

The Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria is a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Health.Our overall objective is to ensure the availability and provision of quality Radiography services to Nigerians. We ensure quality of our training programmes and we seek to regularly improve upon them through our well coordinated training, monitoring and inspection activities. We work to provide quality manpower,ensure good working environment and guarantee job satisfaction.We invite members of the public to visit our website regularly in order to know more, not only about our organisation but about our young profession. We exist to serve and shall serve with all diligence and commitment. With the creation of this website,we have established a double channel of communication whereby we can receive feedbacks from thepublic and promote cross-fertilisation of ideas. Radiographers will undoubtedly find this creation veryuseful.
